Our much needed parish Capital Campaign was officially launched on Maundy Thursday, March 24, 2016. The parish leadership is praying that the parish will respond generously to the campaign. For the campaign to be a success we need to raise a total of $150,000. We will bless the pledges on our ingathering Trinity Sunday, May 22, 2016. As part of our celebration, we will also have an all parish brunch after the 10 a.m. worship service! Please join us!

Our official program year will conclude on Sunday, June 5, 2016 with the Church School Graduation. All of our students and teachers and assistants will be honored during the 10 a.m. service. Please join us to make this occasion as festive as possible for the children of the parish and their teachers and mentors!

On June 5th, following coffee hour and celebration of Sunday School graduation, there will be a parish wide clean-up in preparation for the Bishop's visit on June 12. Amanda Horne and Linda King will be organizing.  Please contact them if interested in helping.  Thanks!  amandachorne@yahoo.com and lindawolfking@gmail.com.

Our new Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Alan Gates, will be making his first Episcopal visit to Emmanuel Parish on Sunday, June 12 at 10 a.m. Our service that day will be a service of Holy Communion with Confirmation and Reception. The schedule for the day will be as follows: (1) the Bishop will meet with the Rector, the Wardens, and the Vestry from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.; (2) our worship service is expected to be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., more or less; (3) the Bishop will meet and greet the larger congregation over coffee and danish in Dallinger hall for 20 to 30 minutes after our worship service; (4) at approximately 11:45 a.m. we will have a parish wide celebratory brunch in thanksgiving for the Bishop’s visitation and confirmation. All are invited. The Bishop will enjoy brunch with the Confirmands and the other youth of the parish. It should be a wonderful and festive day! Please make every effort to join us!

**WORSHIP ON JUNE 12, 2016: There will be no 8:00 a.m. service on Sunday, June 12, 2016 because of the Bishop’s visitation. I am hoping that our faithful 8 o’clockers will come and meet their Bishop at 10:00 that Sunday! Please join us. This is an important day in the life of the parish!
